Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using The Computer Shop website, creating an account, submitting order requests, buying products, requesting custom PC builds, using support, and communicating with us.

These terms should be read together with our Policies & Privacy page. The Policies & Privacy page explains returns, refunds, warranty support, delivery, privacy, cookies, customer data, and dispute handling in more detail.

Nothing in these terms removes, limits, or waives any mandatory right that a customer has under applicable Egyptian law. If any part of these terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection rule, data protection rule, court order, authority decision, or other binding legal requirement, the mandatory legal rule will apply.

These terms are written to follow Egyptian consumer protection requirements and widely used international consumer, e-commerce, and privacy standards. Source links are listed at the end of this page.

By using this website, creating an account, saving products, submitting a consultation, requesting a custom PC, placing an order request, contacting support, or buying from The Computer Shop, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the website, submit order requests, or use our services.

If you use the website on behalf of another person or business, you confirm that you have authority to provide information and make requests for that person or business.

Customers are responsible for keeping account login details, passwords, two-factor authentication codes, trusted devices, and email access secure.

Customers must provide accurate account information and should update it when it changes. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that use false information, impersonate others, abuse services, submit fraudulent claims, or create security risks.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible and use the account security tools available on the website.

We may require verification before allowing access to sensitive account areas, changing email addresses, changing passwords, processing refunds, reviewing orders, or responding to account-related requests.

The website may be used for normal shopping, account management, custom PC consultation, support, order tracking, saved items, and customer communication.

Customers must not attack, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, bypass security, misuse forms, upload harmful content, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users, abuse promotional features, or use the website for fraud or unlawful activity.

We may restrict or block access where needed to protect the website, customers, payment providers, couriers, manufacturers, distributors, or our legal rights.

Website availability may be affected by maintenance, hosting issues, third-party services, security updates, browser changes, or events outside our reasonable control.

We aim to provide clear and accurate information about products, including names, models, categories, images, specifications, compatibility notes, included items, and known limitations where relevant.

PC parts and electronics can change quickly. Product availability, supplier cost, currency impact, promotions, images, packaging, included accessories, manufacturer specifications, and warranty terms may change before an order is confirmed.

Displayed prices are in Egyptian pounds unless stated otherwise. Some products may show a pending price or a price that requires confirmation. The final order price will be confirmed before the order is processed.

Once a confirmed order price is accepted, we will not increase that confirmed price for the same accepted order unless the customer requests a change to the order, the confirmed order contains a clear error, or applicable law allows a different result.

We do not intentionally use false stock claims, hidden mandatory charges, misleading discounts, fake scarcity, or misleading product claims. Any taxes, delivery fees, assembly fees, service fees, or additional charges that apply will be disclosed before final confirmation where technically and practically possible.

Submitting an order request, cart, checkout form, consultation, or message does not automatically mean the order is accepted. An order is final only after the requested products, quantity, price, delivery details, payment method, and any custom requirements are confirmed.

We may contact the customer to verify details before dispatch, especially for high-value orders, custom builds, unusual orders, incomplete information, suspected fraud, or delivery addresses that need clarification.

We may refuse, delay, or cancel an order where there is suspected fraud, failed payment verification, a clear pricing error, stock unavailability, legal restriction, abusive behavior, repeated false claims, incomplete customer information, or a delivery address that cannot reasonably be served.

If an order is canceled before dispatch and payment has already been received, any amount due will be refunded using the original payment method or another agreed lawful method, after deducting only amounts that are legally permitted and clearly justified.

Payment methods, payment timing, deposits, reservation requirements, and payment proof requirements may differ depending on the order type, order value, product availability, and delivery arrangement.

Customers should keep payment proof, invoices, order messages, delivery records, serial-number records, and warranty documents. These records help resolve warranty, delivery, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and consumer-rights questions.

We may delay fulfillment until payment is received, verified, and matched to the correct order. If a payment cannot be verified, we may ask for proof or cancel the order until the issue is resolved.

Chargebacks, wallet disputes, bank disputes, or payment reversals should not be used to make false claims or avoid fair dispute handling. Fraudulent or abusive payment conduct may result in refusal of future services and escalation to the relevant provider or authority where appropriate.

Custom PC recommendations and builds are based on the information provided by the customer, including budget, use case, monitor resolution, preferred games, software, performance target, design preference, noise tolerance, upgrade plans, and delivery constraints.

Before assembly or part ordering begins, the customer will be asked to confirm the final configuration. Customers should carefully review part names, prices, warranty terms, availability, compatibility, dimensions, cooling needs, and delivery timing before approval.

Once parts are ordered, allocated, opened, assembled, configured, or customized specifically for the customer, cancellation or non-defective return options may become limited where permitted by law.

Custom-build limits do not remove mandatory rights for defective, incorrect, unsafe, or non-conforming products. If a custom-built system contains a confirmed faulty component or does not match the approved specifications, the issue will be handled through inspection and the appropriate lawful remedy.

Part substitutions will not be made without customer approval unless the substitution is clearly equivalent or better, does not increase the confirmed price without consent, and is disclosed before completion where practical.

We may help check compatibility for PC parts, upgrades, accessories, and custom builds. Compatibility depends on full build details, manufacturer revisions, BIOS versions, dimensions, cooling, power requirements, case clearance, firmware, drivers, and intended use.

Compatibility guidance is based on information available at the time of review. Manufacturers may change product revisions, BIOS support, firmware behavior, included accessories, or compatibility lists.

Customers should not assume that a part is compatible with an existing system unless the full system details are reviewed. Missing or inaccurate customer information may affect the accuracy of recommendations.

Customers must provide accurate delivery details, including city, street, building number, floor number where applicable, apartment number where applicable, phone number, and Google Plus Code where requested.

Delivery timing, cost, and availability depend on location, product size, order value, courier availability, stock status, payment verification, public holidays, weather, security restrictions, and other operational factors.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless explicitly confirmed as fixed. Customers should be available to receive the order or arrange a lawful pickup or delivery method in advance.

Customers should inspect the outer package on delivery where possible. Visible shipping damage, missing items, wrong items, or delivery-condition disputes should be reported as soon as possible after receipt and preferably before the product is used.

For high-value orders, customers are strongly encouraged to record an unboxing video from the sealed package stage until all contents are visible. This is not intended to remove legal rights, but it helps prove shipment condition if a dispute arises.

Returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled according to our Policies & Privacy page and applicable Egyptian consumer protection requirements.

We will honor mandatory return, exchange, and refund rights under Egyptian consumer law, including customer rights that apply to distance sales and non-conforming or defective products.

For non-defective products, a return or exchange may be available within the legally applicable period where the product is in original sale condition and no legal exception applies. The product, packaging, accessories, manuals, seals, labels, serial numbers, gifts, and bundled items must be returned complete and undamaged where required for resale, warranty, or verification.

Products may be refused for non-defective return where the law allows refusal, including where the product was made or configured to the customer’s specific request, the product cannot be restored to original sale condition, hygiene or safety rules prevent resale, sealed software or digital license materials were opened, accessories are missing, serial numbers do not match, or the item was damaged after delivery by misuse or mishandling.

Refunds are processed after inspection and approval. Refund timing may depend on the payment provider, bank, wallet provider, or courier settlement cycle.

If a product is defective, damaged before receipt, not working properly, incomplete, counterfeit, unsafe, or different from what was confirmed, the customer may request inspection and review.

Where the issue is confirmed and is not caused by misuse, unauthorized repair, tampering, liquid damage, electrical damage, overclocking outside safe limits, physical breakage after receipt, missing packaging required for warranty, or other customer-caused damage, the customer may be offered the lawful remedy that fits the case, such as repair, replacement, exchange, refund, missing-part completion, or warranty handling.

Where a defect appears within the legally protected period, we will handle the request in line with Egyptian consumer protection rules and any applicable manufacturer warranty. Where the issue appears after that period, we will still provide free diagnosis for products bought from our store, but replacement parts, courier costs, manufacturer charges, or out-of-warranty repairs may be chargeable unless the law or warranty says otherwise.

We may need the product, original packaging, accessories, invoice, serial numbers, diagnostic results, photos, videos, and a clear description of the problem before deciding the proper remedy.

Products may include a manufacturer, distributor, store, or statutory warranty depending on the product type and the applicable warranty terms. Warranty periods and procedures may differ by brand, component, product category, region, and supplier.

Warranty coverage depends on the manufacturer, supplier, product condition, serial number, invoice, registration requirements, warranty terms, and applicable law.

We offer free lifetime troubleshooting and diagnosis for devices and components bought from our store. This means we can help inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot hardware or software issues connected to products purchased from us.

Free lifetime troubleshooting does not mean free lifetime replacement parts, free upgrades, free labor for every out-of-warranty repair, or free correction of damage caused by misuse. Once any applicable warranty expires, replacement parts, manufacturer service, courier handling, or advanced repair work may be chargeable.

Warranty claims may be refused where inspection shows misuse, physical abuse, liquid damage, electrical damage, altered or missing serial numbers, tampering, unauthorized repair, missing required packaging, mining or workload abuse outside intended use, unsafe power supply use, improper installation by others, or any condition excluded by the manufacturer or applicable law.

To protect customers, the store, payment providers, couriers, distributors, and manufacturers, we may record serial numbers, product condition, packaging condition, photos, videos, order communications, delivery records, and diagnostic results before dispatch and during return intake.

Returns, exchanges, warranty claims, or refunds may be refused where inspection shows serial-number mismatch, removed or altered labels, missing accessories, missing packaging, component swapping, physical tampering, opened heatsinks or coolers, changed thermal pads, missing screws, bent pins, liquid residue, burn marks, unauthorized repair, account abuse, chargeback abuse, or false missing-item claims.

No refund, replacement, exchange, or warranty approval is final until inspection is completed, except where applicable law requires a different result.

Fraudulent or abusive conduct may result in refusal of future sales or services and may be escalated to the relevant courier, payment provider, manufacturer, platform, authority, or legal channel where appropriate.

Customers should review product details, compatibility, dimensions, warranty terms, delivery details, final order summaries, payment instructions, and return requirements before confirming an order.

Customers should use products safely, follow manufacturer instructions, use suitable power protection where needed, avoid unauthorized repairs, keep packaging and invoices, and contact us promptly if a problem appears.

Customers should not provide false information, misuse return rights, submit false defect claims, swap components, remove labels, abuse support channels, or initiate chargebacks without first attempting to resolve the issue through normal support where possible.

Customers are responsible for backing up their own data before submitting any device for inspection, repair, upgrade, replacement, return, or warranty handling. Unless required by law, we are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, software issues, repair attempts, formatting, malware, or customer instructions.

We may communicate with customers by website account tools, email, phone, WhatsApp, support tickets, or other contact methods provided by the customer.

Customers should provide clear information when requesting support, including order number, product name, invoice, serial number where relevant, photos or videos where relevant, and a clear description of the issue.

Support advice is based on the facts provided and may change after inspection or diagnosis. Customers should not perform risky repairs, BIOS changes, overclocking, firmware updates, disassembly, or electrical testing unless they understand the risk or we explicitly advise the step for their case.

Abusive, threatening, fraudulent, discriminatory, or harassing communication may result in restricted support channels, refusal of future service where lawful, or escalation through appropriate legal channels.

Some products, payments, delivery, warranty handling, software, maps, authentication, hosting, email, and support features depend on third-party providers.

Manufacturer warranties, software licenses, platform terms, courier terms, payment provider rules, bank rules, wallet provider rules, and service-center procedures may apply in addition to these terms.

We are not responsible for third-party service outages, manufacturer policy changes, courier delays, payment provider delays, banking delays, map errors, software license restrictions, or platform decisions except where applicable law makes us responsible.

Digital codes, software licenses, warranty registrations, activated services, opened sealed software, and online subscriptions may have special return or cancellation limits where permitted by law.

The website design, text, product organization, images created by us, code, layout, branding, and other store content belong to The Computer Shop or our licensors unless stated otherwise.

Manufacturer names, logos, product photos, trademarks, model names, and technical specifications belong to their respective owners and are used to identify products.

Customers may use the website for normal shopping and personal reference. Customers may not copy, scrape, republish, sell, or misuse website content in a way that infringes rights, misleads customers, damages the store, or violates applicable law.

Our Policies & Privacy page explains what information we collect, how we use it, cookies we use, when we share information, data retention, security measures, and customer privacy rights.

By using the website, creating an account, placing an order request, contacting support, or submitting a consultation, you understand that we may process the information needed to provide the requested service, protect accounts, prevent fraud, comply with law, and support customers.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use advertising, analytics, marketing, heatmap, or tracking cookies.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where liability cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights, fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or any responsibility that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, The Computer Shop is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost data, software corruption, downtime, compatibility problems caused by third-party changes, manufacturer changes, courier delays, payment provider delays, or damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unstable power, unauthorized repair, malware, or customer instructions.

Where liability may lawfully be limited, our responsibility for a specific order or service will be limited to the amount paid for the affected product or service, unless applicable law requires a different remedy.

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supplier shortages, manufacturer delays, courier disruption, payment network issues, internet outages, hosting outages, power issues, severe weather, public holidays, legal restrictions, security restrictions, import delays, customs delays, strikes, emergencies, war, pandemic, fire, flood, or government action.

If such an event affects an order, we will try to provide a fair update and a practical solution, such as waiting, substituting with customer approval, rescheduling delivery, canceling the affected item, or refunding amounts due where appropriate.

We may update these Terms of Service when laws, services, payment methods, delivery methods, account features, products, warranty procedures, or business processes change.

The latest version will be posted on this page. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where reasonable and technically practical.

Continuing to use the website after an update means the updated terms apply from the date they are posted, except where applicable law requires a different approach.

Terms that applied to an already confirmed order will not be changed in a way that removes mandatory legal rights or unfairly changes the confirmed order after acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection right that applies to the customer.

If a customer has a complaint, they should contact us first with the order number, invoice, product name, photos or videos where relevant, a clear description of the issue, and the requested solution.

We will try to resolve complaints fairly through review, inspection, repair, replacement, refund, missing-part completion, support guidance, or another lawful solution depending on the facts.

If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, the customer may contact the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency or use any other dispute-resolution channel available under applicable law. The Consumer Protection Agency hotline shown on its website is 19588.

These terms do not prevent a customer from using any mandatory complaint, court, consumer authority, or legal right available under applicable law.

For questions about these terms, orders, returns, warranty, support, privacy, or customer rights, contact us at thecomputershopegypt@gmail.com.

When contacting us about an order or product issue, include your order number, invoice, product name, phone number, and any photos or videos that help explain the issue.
